Bash HSX in action with Sim Racing Corner

Sim Racing Corner has shared a five-minute video of our Bash HSX active shifter in action. If you have been wondering what an active shifter brings to a sim-racing setup, this is a good place to start.

The gate matters

In a clutch-dependent setup, the shifter can physically prevent a gear being selected until the clutch is pressed. That physical resistance is central to what we wanted to achieve with the Bash range.

The HSX uses live game telemetry and our SimHub plugin to control the gate. When the configured conditions for a gear change are not met, the gate stays closed. When they are met, the mechanism releases it. The HSX also adds active lock-in of the selected gear, bringing another part of gearbox behaviour into your hands.

Built around the way you drive

At its centre is a genuine Nissan Silvia short-shifter mechanism. H-Sync, H-Dogbox and sequential electronic modes let you choose the shifting behaviour, while gear-ratio training allows the system to learn individual cars. The OLED display and three mappable backlit buttons put useful controls within reach.

Active features require a PC running SimHub and the MVH plugin. The behaviour available depends on the game, its telemetry and your configuration, so check our setup information for your particular simulator.

Thanks to Sim Racing Corner for putting the HSX in front of the camera and sharing it with the sim-racing community.
