MVH Pitwall Issue 04 · 17 October 2026
Spec IV lands with SUGO and six cars, while the SimRacing Expo brings new hardware, AC EVO Free Roam and an FIA rally showdown into one packed weekend.
Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Part 1 has landed

Update 1.72 arrived on 15 October with six cars, including the Ferrari F355 Berlinetta, Honda Civic Si Group A and Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo. The headline track is Sportsland SUGO: 3.586 km, 13 corners and enough elevation change to reward a tidy rhythm.
There is more beneath the car list: a new Vintage section and Car Concierge, Brand Experiences, a Car Viewer, six World Circuit events and a Collector Level cap raised to 90. This is a broad quality-of-life update as much as a content drop.

The hardware weekend to watch
SimRacing Expo · 16–18 October 2026 · Messe Frankfurt, Hall 12
70 exhibitors · 14,000+ square metres · 20+ stage hours
Fanatec, Simucube, Asetek and MOZA are listed for Friday 16 October stage slots, with RaceRoom’s content reveal scheduled for Saturday 17 October morning. With 40% more floor space than last year, it should be a useful temperature check on where wheels, pedals and motion are heading next.
Not in Frankfurt? The organisers have official livestreams lined up, so the announcements need not stay on the show floor.
Free Roam makes its public playable debut

KUNOS is bringing Assetto Corsa EVO’s Free Roam mode to the Expo for its first public hands-on. The 1:1 recreation of the Eifel region connects the Nordschleife with surrounding roads and villages—an unusually ambitious change of pace from the usual circuit menu.
The programme lists studio co-founder Marco Massarutto’s stage slot for Friday 16 October at 16:00. The interesting question is not simply how large the map is, but how naturally the road network, traffic-free exploration and car behaviour fit together.
FIA rally esports reaches the European shootout

The FIA’s first official Rally Esports competition on Assetto Corsa Rally moves into its European regional shootout in Frankfurt. Four drivers will qualify for the Shanghai final, joined by two FIA wildcard selections.
The final in December will end with the top two competing side by side at the FIA Awards Ceremony. That live format could make virtual rally unusually easy to follow—even for viewers who do not normally watch hot-lap competitions.
Why MVH? One Logitech base. Two very different wheels.

The MVH Quick Release lets a G29, G920 or G923 keep doing both jobs. Fit the S1 adapter to the original Logitech round wheel and retain its buttons and paddles; use the S2 adapter with a compatible MVH wheel, then swap between them in seconds.
The complete £88.50 set includes the motor mount, S1 and S2 adapters. Custom electronics carry the controls through the connection, while the supported collar design is built to handle the extra load of larger rims.
