GIANTS Software Ventures into Sim Racing with Project Motor Racing

Straight4 Studios, the creators behind the highly anticipated GTRevival, have announced some significant updates. The game now has a new title, Project Motor Racing, and a fresh publishing partner, GIANTS Software.

This partnership is a bold move for GIANTS Software, the Swiss-based company renowned for the Farming Simulator series, which has been a staple since 2008. With Farming Simulator 25 set to launch in November, GIANTS is branching out from their agricultural roots to explore the high-speed world of sim racing.

Christian Ammann, Founder and CEO of GIANTS Software, sees a clear connection between the two genres. He explains, “The dedication of the community and the players is absolutely similar. We call this ‘their hobby is our game,’ and we aim to achieve the same with the new title.” Despite GIANTS’ lack of experience in racing games, Ammann believes their simulation expertise and robust self-publishing infrastructure position them well for this new challenge.

GIANTS Software has built a comprehensive self-publishing department, including marketing, customer support, quality assurance, and a physical distribution network. Ammann notes, “If you only do that for one single title, the overhead costs are quite expensive. So it makes sense from a business standpoint to do multiple titles.”

Straight4 Studios, having faced challenges with their initial deal with Embracer Group’s PLAION, found an ideal partner in GIANTS. Ammann recounts, “We had a lot of talks and came to a partnership [for Project Motor Racing]. We wanted something that’s really at the quality level that we have with Farming Simulator.”

While details about Project Motor Racing remain scarce, the collaboration between GIANTS Software and Straight4 Studios is an exciting development. Fans of both sim racing and simulation games can look forward to what this partnership will bring.

Stay tuned for more updates as Project Motor Racing progresses!
